Leaking washer fluid from rear headliner

Hello, my daughters 2006 LT is leaking washer fluid in the rear headliner and when I pulled it down there is a black check valve looking thing that is in the line that is leaking. I can't find any information on this piece and assume it has some importance so I really don't want to just splice the two lines together unless I know it's okay. Any ideas? I did do a thread search and couldn't find any thing.

What about a wrecking yard ? Get one off of any year HHR. They should be the same for all years.

I don't recall any
black check valve looking thing
. Exactly where? You could blow into it to see if it is a check valve. The black bits I recall are connectors.

Number 9 is the tube.

one guy from Belarus got this problem.
I must say that parts of the HHR in Belarus are not sold on every corner.
So he just took the broken part in his hands and went shopping. He bought the first one he came across, roughly matching the diameter of the tubes. It turned out to be a piece of Toyota. As far as I know, it still works fine. It's been five years or more.
I know about this case because this Belarusian wrote to me and was interested in the price in Russia.

Makes sense to have a check valve there, so the pump won't lose it's prime.
