License Plate Bracket
I just bought an 08 HHR lastnight (VERY EXCITED!).. I was the only one to drive due to it just being pulled off the trailor...
It dosen't have a license plate bracket on the front. So I am looking for a bracket that bolts to the bottom of the bumper and will flip out..
Anyone have one or seen this??

It's an aftermarket thing that allows you to flip the bracket down out of site when at a show or something.
Even though front plates are required in CA, I just took mine off shortly after we bought it. Never had an issue with it at all. As a matter of fact, never had an issue in the 6 years I've been out here. (Yes, I just knocked on wood.)

I bought a factory bracket for my SS but it would only fit the LS or LT (different bumper). The LS/LT bracket looks much better than the one for the SS. I think it was $15 from Chevy. No flip up/down option though.
Not sure if that will work. I think the tag is taller than that area is deep.
But, you can go to any junk yard and find the tag bracket from any 90's era Camaro/Firebird, they had a flip down bracket for the gas tank. Maybe it was the late 80's models..... Plus lots of cars from the 60's & 70's had them.

I don't think just a spring loaded flipper is what he wants. It is my understanding that he wants something that can be hidden beneath the front fascia when parked, but then at a flip of a switch come up into view. The old style spring loaded ones do not do that.

At $150 for the kit, I am sure that is why you are asking for ideas here. But surely something similar can be rigged.
