lights

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on upgrading the headlights and fog lights. I have a blown fog light and now may be the time to upgrade. Looking for a whiter and brighter light relatively inexpensive. What are the sizes I should be looking for? Thanks.

H13 headlights, H11 fogs. If you want beter lighting on the "cheap" go Sylvania Silverstars. The next step up woud be: 1) HID's in stock housings (not recommended IMO due to massive glare for oncoming traffic) or 2) a true HID retrofit which will cost you $$.

Read about a lot of members unhappy w/the Sylvania Silverstars.

Some said they burnt out quickly.. That's why I suggested a search to see both sides from members.

I've had mine for a few months now and haven't had any problems at all. Light output on them is MUCH improved over stock and they light up signs + reflectors on the highway over 1/4 mile away (seriously). HID'S would be the way to go but they're not cheap if you want them done right IMO; plus I don't care to go yanking fuses due to the DRL. Remember the OP wanted a fairly cheap way to upgrade his head + foglights. If he/she doesn't like the Silverstars they can always go back to stock, save up and get a true retrofit later on but hey that's my .02.

I put the silverstars in last year, so far so good. Sylvainia says their ultra will be out next spring for the H13. I put 9005's ultras in my fogs. They are bright. The stock fogs were only 37 watts while the 9005's are 55 watts.
