Hi all! I'm a newbie and have a couple of questions. First, I have heard that mudflaps are a must on the HHR because the front tires throw stuff back at the area in front of the rear wheel wells. The salesman told me the molded mudflaps won't fit the HHR SS but the standard mudflaps will. Has anybody had any expierence with mudflap issues? Second, How do I change my user name? Hope to pick up my 08 HHR SS in a day or 2. Taking advantage of the GM employee pricing deal. Thanks !

What the salesman told you is true (about the molded ones not fitting.) but with a lil bit of trimming you CAN get them to fit. A lil careful trimming of the guards with a X-acto knife around where the side skirts are, will work.
I imagine in time GM will come out with proper guards, but i for one did not want to want any longer.

 

Jeff is correct about the mud flaps. And as far as changing your user name, only site admin has the abilitly to do that for you. Either send jonnyb a PM or hit the "contact us" link in the upper right hand of the page.

 

Thanks! I went out to the dealership this AM and kinda test fit the stock ones. They didn't look too bad, so I had the salesman throw them in with the deal incl. install.
