my $22 colored lower grille mod!

Well I bought the stuff yesturday (Blue anodized mesh from APC, and the gutter screens everyone else is using) and got the HHR all washed up this morning and got the lower grille piece installed. Looks awesome and somwehow the color matches perfectly with the stock paint. I'm headin' out for awhile but will post some pics up later this evening.
Thanks for the info from everyone on how to do this correctly
Jim

2 hours, 6 hours it all the same when you have the day off and your messin with the HHR time flys.

Well as I promised SIX HOURS AGO ( i know, sorry for the wait)
Here ya go

This is how a couple people hear said to do it, using the screen gutter clips ( worked great ) and holds in place pretty strong

The bottom is just folded around the bottom of the opening and "pinched" into shape along with the sides, I stillneed to do a little trimming to make it look better from the inside, ...some other day.

And this is what it looks like from the front It really does not do it justice I couldn't be happier with the end result. Thanks for the ideas ( sorry I can't remember who it who at this time. If it was you, chime in and take some well deserved credit

I'll be posting some more pics of it in the gallery and if I get a real good one I'll through it up here.
Thanks,
Jim

p.s. if you happened to visit this while I was fixing it, I'm sorry, I had it all messed up for a second ther. It's all better now though so enjoy>

Thanks guys and gal (s)????
Here is a couple better pics of it.
As I said before it is the blue mesh sold buy APC at most autoparts stores and Kragen has the stuff half off at the moment ( around here anyway) because APC is going outta business I think. So if you other Daytona HHR owners wanna grab it, I'd say nows the time.
