Let's define that beauty stripes, not racing stripes, then they fit well with our HHRs.

I got the vinyl from an ebay dealer, MetroSellers, because he is 20 minutes from where I live.

The vinyl roll is 15 inches wide, I bought 4 feet, actually 3 feet should be more than enough for 3 bars. For each bar, you need a stripe about 4-5 inches wide. I started from the center of a bar, and went to ends one at a time. I did not use water but went slowly to make sure no bubble was left behind. After the front was done, I wrapped the vinyl behind the bar. That's easy. The only tricky part is where the bar meets other things, like the bowtie and the frame, you need a small blade to trim extra vinyl along the line they meet.

Sorry for this unclear how-to, English is not my native language.

This is my second vinyl job, I don't have much skill. one needs more patience than skill to succeed.

That's the last weekend before my school starts, it's the busiest time. But I will try to make it.

The hood stripe is glossy black vinyl, 6 inches wide, 3 inches apart. It's easier than what I thought to put it on. I actually did not use any liquid assistant. The rear end was also vinylized, but due to wrong measurement, it looks terrible with a few feet.

The whole mods cost me $35 and some hours.

Very very nice!

edb, Your English is much better than most members of many forums I have experienced. Nice job! Is your vinyl dull enough of a flat/matte black to match the flat black parts of the car? I am in Grosse Pointe Park. I cannot mention the "d" word so what part of s.e. Michigan are you in? If you are nearby, I would like to show your vinyl to Wifey.

OUTSTANDING LOOK ! !

It goes particularly well with your car's paint color, too, the sandstone. Black and tan complement each other.
