New Grille

Okay, there is a thread out here that wants to see everyones grille. Someone beat me to the one I liked so I decided to come up with a different idea. Just got this grille in the mail about three hours ago and here is the beginning.......

After I sand down the rough edges, about to the black lines on the grille and paint there will be somekind of black mesh behind the chevy cut out to protect the radiator. I wanted the cut out bigger to begin with, but I figured I needed to keep atleast one of the support screws for the grille. More pics coming as I progress

An interesting idea. I'll be waiting for updated pics, so I can visualize it better. What color are you going to paint it?

Yes I worked on it. Changed my mind on how things are going now. Instead of the bars being opened, I decided to fiberglass them shut. Fiberglass mat is over the whole grill now, and I will cut out the bowtie again. I evened up the bowtie too, it seemed that one side was longer then the other. Not sure how this will affect the ari flow though, have to watch the temp. when I install. Now to smooth it up and paint. I'll post more pics tomorrow.

Here is a taste of things to come. Fiberglassed, but not cut out yet or sanded.
