hey jx3, where did you get your lower grille? I like the looks of the one on yours & Karen's ride in this pic...
fills the hole nicely.

Did you have to do any drilling?

Nice! They are here in the OC--going to check if I can pick this up and looks VERY easy for this non-car-person to install!

One question--is it chrome-shiny? I'm all about the chrome look and want to keep it in 'theme'.

Thanks!

Polished surface. While not quite as bright as the "plastic chrome", it will keep w/ the theme.

before I went all-out, I had a billet lower with the oem upper. One thing I did which I thought made them work better together was to black out every other bar on the lower grill.

Thanks so much for the info!

I think I will go with the version you have, because I do not want to drill any holes and it looks very smooth on your ride!

That makes 2 of us, Jeremy!
Going to call on Monday and make arrangements to pick up!

GDZHHR, may I ask how you blacked out, or what did you use to black out the bars? I like that look!

Thanks!
(seriously, all I wanted to do to my Blackie was add a stubby antenna !)

Just taped it off, sanded it a little, then used a flat black paint. Did a couple coats and a coat of clear to help with chipping. Took about 30 minutes.

The Precision Grille and the Carriage Works Grille look very similar. I got the Carriage Works lower grille from Autoanything.com about a Year ago. It does require drilling 2 small holes in the lower bumper valance(??) to secure the bottom of the grille. That's really no big deal and you can't see the screws anyway, unless you lay on the ground. So it's six of one, and half a dozen of the other as to which one is better, since they look the same!
