I must have missed that one. I would like to see what an HHR looks like with smaller rims.

I agree with you to a point. There is a point when it goes from tasteful to gawdy. It all depends on what the individual likes. I do not have running boards or roof racks, I like the clean look of it.

I have to agree with part of what you say, sometimes I THINK someone over does it. Is that wrong? NO. They own the car not me. Everyone that does thinks to a car is because they like it. I have seen show cars I think are ugly but I dont set out to rant and be mean to them about what they like.
Hey I dont like the look of your spolier that does nothing at all. It does not make you go fast, improve your MPG, but hey you like it and thats why you got it. I dont trash talk you because you have it.
You may not like the idea of my color matched splash gaurds but hey you dont have to drive it.

Vent visors are a practical modification IMHO.

So are running boards for those that don't have them and want to protect their paint.

I agree, somewhat, that it is easy to get carried away with some of this stuff. And I did the same thing back in my teens and early twenties. Spotlights, foglights, fender skirts, bumper guards, etc. All the "Stuff" that was the thing back in the early 50s! (Curb feelers, and Neckers Knobs on the steering wheel too!) Now I try to be a bit more choosy and just add what's beneficial.
