Of course it won't unless there's airflow running underneath the spoiler

There are slits that run under the spoiler. I've had several cars with spoilers. Hatchbacks just have the problem of having dirty rear ends. Any advantage a spoiler might have in keeping the rear clean will be minimal.

That would of course mean that the wiper has a minor role.
This is what I meant:

Works well on dirt roads, long gravel driveways, etc. Especially useful on SUVs.

Not so the more vertical a rear window is. I've had them on past SUVs and they are very effective at keeping debris off the rear window.

I never fail to check out any HHR that I see, no accessories, or lots of them...I have been modifying cars, trucks, bikes, etc all of my life, but so many of these folks are doing it for the first time with their HHRs and I want to take a moment to commend their efforts...Whether all of the mods suit your tastes or not, the HHR has brought new people into the lifestyle of vehicle personalization, customizing, whatever you want to call it and I for one think that it is excellent...Mine is lowered, customized grille, blacked out grille, door handles, mirrorbacks and wheel insets, etched windows, shortened antenna, driving lights, and interior paint accents...I think that it is fairly subtle, some may disagree, but I make the payments so I choose...well with Rita's help/permission...(hey how do you think that we made it to 24 years tomorrow???) I guess I am saying that maybe you should just lighten up and enjoy the stuff you see and forget the rest...you really need to come to a run and meet some of these great people and you will start to understand what this forum is really about...the people are fantastic !!!

Smile

The more custom work people do on Their cars, The more likely you will find something that you may even like. A car is a personal thing and some people have different personalties.

God Bless!!

It's great to just like 'em...I know that I do !!! I smile every time I think about mine, it really jumped started me back into cars again...enough so that the not so subtle garage project is rolling right along...'52 Chevy from a 4 door sedan to a 2 door roadster, chopped windshield and hand formed carson top, frenched, nosed, decked, lowered...I could go on for hours !!! Thank goodness for the HHR and this forum !!!
