Yes its black chrome I bought all the black chrome pieces shortly after buying the car.

Looks Great! It was my first mod.

They come off really ez with a heat gun, it sucks getting all the black goo off the back side, but when its done they look great.

Any special prep needed before painting?
Any special type of paint used?
I have lot's of duplicolor spraypaints and clearcoat cans around.

Fusion paint works best imo, it chemically bonds to plastic.

Its called Krylon Fusion paint, I'd use it and the Krylon Fusion clear. You should be able to find it at any Walmart, though some colors can be harder to find then others. Make sure to follow directions and let it thoroughly dry. I've had my bow ties since last fall and not 1 chip or scratch when fully cured. I've even been through a drive through car wash once since painting them.

Thats what I used as well. Takes a little longer to dry to the touch then the can said but I didnt touch it anyways!!
