Smile Painted Doors

Well after some tedious work, the doors came off and I finally got to paint them. I'm not too sure how to put a link to it, but you guys check out my profile and let me know what you think. I'll post all of the other interior shots later today.

I really love it. Did you have to prepare the plastic inserts by sanding or priming, or did you just paint them? Was it regular Duplicar auto paint? I did the 2 round vents above the radio, the little inserts that say 'airbag', and the inserts that hide the bolt behind the door pull on each door. It really pulls everything together having some exterior color on the inside.

You have just shown me my next mod.

Thanks everyone so far. they turned out better than expected. I prepped the strips by sanding them lightly with 400 sandpaper, then hit them with primer from duplicolor, and then painted them with the duplicolor burnt orange. Its as close to the sunburst as I could find and at $5 a can instead of $16 its much better.

Any plans for other interior bits to paint? The dash cover or instrument panel would be awsome, but more work.

The highlights on the door really accent the sippy cup.

Looks really good axoman!
