Why can't you paint the black ones?

the plain black ones I have , have a small pebble texture on them...sure i could probably sand that out, but I was wondering if there was a different piece?

Possibly a vin number from a 1LT would get the correct Mirror Caps and or part number for the paintable version ?

True, the satin versions can easily be painted to a different color.

06' 1LT are Satin? I know our 08's are Color Matched! So when you order for an 07' or later 1LT Cap it should be Smooth and Paintable !

Yep on the 06's and I thought the 07's, your 1LT mirror caps were either polished or satin finish. Same with the door handles, grill, and beauty bar.

Sanding out the pebble finish isn't really all that hard. Then a couple of coats of high fill primer. Sand the primer smooth and paint..... Actually pretty easy.

You have to prime the plastic anyway.......I'd say go for it but hey I'm cheap and would rather sand than pay for new ones......

toss a good flex additive in the paint(works as agreat promoter on plasitc)paint wont flake off or chip as easy..and yes texture comes off easy..DA sander..sum 80 grit..go to town..
