I wouldn't drill holes into mine car body parts.... but thats me....
More 3M tape usage and prep the paint surface with adhesive promoter
prior to the install will hold it on..
Less a category 3+ hurricane......

What template?
Did you cut the 3 plastic pegs off? We did and put a strip of tape across the top of the deck, then pressed the metal bolts into the tape and then drilled there.
The reason I drilled holes is because I don't want to see my $150 spoiler bouncing down the highway in my rearview mirror, and believe me it does happen, even on factory installed parts. Ask a bodyman, or just check the shoulders along the interstate.

I then positioned and taped it to the deck lid, keeping it as close to the rear window washer nozzle. ( If you mount the spoiler too high on the deck lid, it will hit the body of the car when the deck is up.)
I then marked the hole locations, removed the templet and remeasured the hole locations and drilled the 5 holes.
I used a hole saw on the inside of the deck lid for access to the 2 threaded screws. Put a plastic hole plug in the holes. (plug size depends on the hole saw you use.)
I also used silicone sealer around the holes for added protection from water getting in.
Have not had a chance yet to post pics.

I've got my Premier Edition Spoiler being painted now. I've been reading all of your posts and they are helpful. Does anyone have any advice on drilling the holes, positioning the spoiler to get the holes in there proper position ect if you had to do it over again? I really don't want to screw this up. Thanks

Start out drilling small holes and check for fit each time before going bigger on the holes.
You want the holes to be centered enough so the spoiler mounting studs do not bind and cause the spoiler not to sit flat.
I would also use some silicone sealer around the holes before installing, just to be sure you have a good seal.
And as a final note, becareful when drilling the middle mounting hole, as the wiring harness for the 3rd brake light and hatch release is there and you could damage it.
