Nice, but needs a 1.5" drop and larger discs to fill some of that open space IMO.

I agree, I'm really into the lowered cars I wasn't sure if I wanted to go that low at first but after winter I'm getting the ebach spring kit. I not sure on brakes yet but I'm looking into see if power stop has something I can piece together for large rotor caliper relocation. There is no need to spend over 1k for brake kits on a car that can barely go 100mph.

What happens when you hit a large pothole with those skinny tires?

Thank you for that statement! My point exactly about Big Brakes from another thread. However we (you and I) may not be the "target demographic" to drop that kind of cash on big brakes!

Your HHR looks great, you should absolutely submit it for "featured HHR" for next month!

LOL... you don't hit potholes with those skinny tires. So basically you really have to pay attention when you drive.

I think we need to worry more about getting these things moving before we worry about getting them stopped.

A better brake set would help stop the additional rolling mass from the larger wheels though. Just because the HHR isn't capable of high speeds does not mean it wouldn't benefit from a better braking system both aesthetically and for safety reasons.

What do those new wheels weigh?

Agreed They say once you go over an 18" wheel, the brakes should be upgraded to at least achieve a level of the factory brakes.
