Exclamation rat rod hhr help

ok all im at it again got a weird idea and i bought all my stuff off lien all the original badges and all for the olskool hhr. my next question is what color should i paint it i am doing flat black for sure but not sure to use hugger orange for the wheels and flames or use the old rat lime green. thinking of making an old spoon pedal set up for the hhr. already have the dual turndowns on. just need some ideas if anybody knows where to get the dummy spot lights and the old redlight viewer. the horn has been replaced with a real oogua horn. if anybody has any old car parts or gauges or ideas please email me i really want some of the original ports for the side not the ugly buick ones but the slits that were on a lot of the old cars. there was a guy from pa that was making them but he never returns my emails any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked the rat rod magazines? I don't recall the titles but I've checked them out at the newstand...........for the cars, that is, just the cars!

While I was in California in September, I went to a rat rod show and most weren't painted, just the patina of the old car's shell. In 2005, on the hot rod power tour, one guy had an old GMC truck, all hopped up under the hood. The patina looked like a faded green, and he said it was a new paint job. He said that when it was painted, they added talc to the paint to give it that look.

Thumbs up do what pleases you

isn't that what the rat is all about?? i will say that there are very few things that i think flat or gloss lime green look good on. orange and black look good , it worked well for harley davidson. also lots of chevy engines were orange.
