rear view mirror

Since I cannot use my bluetooth phone with the deactivated onstar,08 hhr,why not just buy a bluetooth rearview mirror. Now does anybody know if you can replace the onstar mirror with a standard review one and if so where and what kind to buy. I just bought one that says it fits over the existing mirror but it doesn't fit over the onstar one. It probably would fit over a stock one but do they make one for our hhr's. Thanks for the help,Dave

You should be able to use your BT with a de-activated OnStar account. You just need a re-flash from a dealer.

My bluetooth has worked since day one and I never set up my On-Star account.

Same here, I had Onstar for the one year and never re-started service, and my bluetooth works just fine.

Not to hijack but has anyone removed/replaced their mirror? I find mine is in the way of seeing oncoming traffic. I'd like to position mine more towards the headliner if possible, the big clunky thing obscures a lot of forward vision.

Same here, I would really like to slide my mirror up toward the headliner. I positioned my seat where I don't feel the mirror totally blocks my view and is unsafe, but I would still like to move it up a bit. Had planned to look into that as soon as I could. May need to be modded.
