Thumbs down Rims to avoid!

Ocean Beach car show. Monday nights In New London CT.

Take a gander:

Now, I love chrome and gaudiness to an extent, but this just does not work for me!
It reminds me of a serving plate at a pretentious wedding.

Here is the vehical with the offending paws:

Now I do like PTs. Never been in one, but always liked the style. Look where that has brought me/us, to the HHR, so all is not bad with the PT. But this one needs new shoes!
Perhaps if it were an aquamarine convertible in a parade with hula girls in it. Then maybe the rims would work. Maybe............

Found a 1948 Chevy at the car show too. Still gettin' mods as it were!
I belive it is called the Stylemaster. Its rims are fine and go with its theme quite well.

The ones on the PT were stolen from the banquet room at the Breakers in Newport, RI. The yellow ones are actually mounted on the car CH's wife drives!
