There is a Maroon '06 LS running around Charlotte with a set of what look like J.C. Whitney "Universal Fit" extruded aluminum running boards fitted to it.
It's every bit as awful as it sounds, unfortunately(or fortunately if you have a weak stomach), I've yet to see the poor critter parked anywhere to grab some pics of it.
Then there are the six "Peel-N-Stick" fake Buick portholes on each side of the hood.

My boards had no mounting spots for those clips. I also looked at another thread where someone mounted them. They removed the rocker panel clips and put in black plastic hole plugs when they installed the running boards
