Running Boards,Yay or Nay ?

My HHR does not have running boards.Been thinking about adding another HHR to the stable. Now after lookin at some I thought I would really like some running boards but now I not so sure.I kinda like the look of the truck without them.Anyone happy not having running boards?

I did not have them at first on my black '07 LT and quickly got them after noticing pitting on the rear fender flare. Obviously, my '08 SS came with side skirts.

I hate not having running boards. I really wish I would have got them to begin with but didnt realize how bad I would want them later and the fact that the whole buying process went really quick and I just wanted the car and didnt pay to much attention to options.

Do you mean the rusting or chips in the paint?

Pitting from debris. You can really feel what I'm talking about if you run your hand over that surface. Becomes very rough.

I love mine. Think it makes the car. Slight problem with the ice-buildup in the Winter, but that's minimal.

Gotta love 'em! Cuts down on a lot of the build up of dirt and gunk thrown up by the tires. And, in my opinion, the car does not look complete without them.

I've got them on mine and they just look right with the body lines. Not that I'd ever use them for a step, but they make for a good fender protector. And yes, as I found out today, they do build up snow and slush...but it's like any other car. Comes right off.
