I also have that problem but no matter how much Wax I put on them the Salt does it in my case. as you know I live on the Border of IL/IN and the Salt hills are 1 block from my house and the Ships unload the salt here also So I am screwed on this matter, I was not thinking of the Salt Hills when I purchased mine.

Yes but our SoCal neighbors are near the biggest Salt hill of them all... the ocean. So something they are doing must be right... right? Good thing it doesn't get all salty and stuff in SoAZ. Might cramp my style. Wurd!

Being next to the ocean is not near as bad as having to drive it it on the roads. That is why so many north east cars have so much cancer. At least when I lived in the rockies they used sand and urea (sp).
That is true, driving on the salt is alot worse that from the ocean. I knowwhen I lived back in the midwest that our cars were always cancer infested. Guess maybe the salt could be "eating" the wax
