About a week ago it was raining and the wind was blowing hard. When I opened the door to get in, rain was blown onto the driver's seat and now there are water stains left behind.
I wanted to ask if there was a good product that will clean/remove these water stains from my seat?

I always use approx. 4 to 1 mixture of woolite and distilled water to clean interiors

 

4 parts water or 4 parts woolite? Work well on carpet too?

 

i get a home depot spray bottle, fill it to 4:1 line with woolite and the rest with water.

so 1 part woolite to 4 parts water.

i use it on everything dash, seats, carpet. after i do the carpet i hit it with a mix of downy and water to finish.

 

I've got the grey interior and some of the carpet in the driver footwell is a little stained from normal useage. I'll try your mix if it works. Love the smell of downy, so that can't be bad

 

These seats are a PITA to clean! I've used different upholstery cleaner, but then they leave a mark where they were, in addition to the original stain!

 

Cover them in black. I had the gray and got factory black covers for my LT I had no more stains

 

The HHR (and most Chevys) use flat woven fabrics. They are smooth in appearance, but unfortunately they show water spots if the fabric isn't treated (it probably was for the 1st or 2nd year, but let's not get into cost reduction). It sounds crazy that rain creates spots, but it's true (as will a sweating water bottle, etc).
Anyways, a water spot shouldn't need anything special other than to wet/clean the entire surface. No spot-cleaning these fabrics - get an entire area wet. This is the reason my wife's new HHR (picked up yesterday) has the black fabric. The cashmere with black IP looks great, but those seats won't hold up well to my kids.

 

I just cleaned my step sister malibu... and it has the same really cheap cloth seats.. And the only thing I could do to make the spots disappear is to just clean the whole seat and it makes it a shade darker and the seats look new again.

 

this is what i had to do to get seats clean in one of our cars. In my case I used the hose from a deep whatever you call it floor cleaner.
