Seats/Wheels ideas???

I finally bought my first HHR about a month or two ago. It's a bone stock 2007 LS with just over 150k miles & runs like a top.

I'm wanting to modify it visually before I go under the hood. I want to put some lowered suspension, possibly a little stiffer, then gotta get some nice aftermarket wheels but not sure what's best, & before I do those two I think I want to put at least two new seats in the front of it but not sure if I want to put some racing style seats in it or try to get something retro looking. I like to go cruising around and go to different car shows so comfort is important. But I also want it to look good because I eventually want to be able to put it in some shows and take it to different car meets and don't want it to look stock. What are your opinions? What would fit easiest in this thing?

Welcome to the site.
Where are you in Alabama ?

Depending on your car/interior color, you might consider finding some HHR SS seats. They came in black, black/gray and black/red. The fronts came in standard SS style or the performance version.

I live in Saraland, a few miles down the interstate from Mobile.

My car is black & my interior is black/grey with the seats being grey but I would love to swap them out for some black seats. I would prefer to put the black SS performance seats in them. I looked on eBay today but didn't see any listed. There was one set of SS seats but I think they were the regular and they wanted almost 300 just for shipping.

Thanks! Mine is a base of a base of a base model But I hope to make it a little Hotrod cruiser to take around to some shows. Gotta get some dents worked out of the hood, doors and roof so that's gonna be a pretty penny to pay for.

If you're going to have to dump a bunch of money into it, and if you really want a turbo, you should consider just getting an SS.

Well I found a nice SS for sale before I bought mine but they wanted like 7 grand for it & my pocket book can't really handle that. Plus it had almost same miles as my LS. I only paid like $3,600 for it so the monthly payment is really affordable. I plan on fixing up the cosmetics first before looking to do anything performance to it.

If you plan on attending any of the local car shows, let me know. I'll see about going and we could meet up and get introduced.

Mine started life as a LS with black and gray interior. I installed some SS seats from a wrecking yard. You can do quite a bit to these cars and the only thing that will limit you is how deep your pockets are.
