Smoothie Door locks

Since I don't have Pay Pal and hate Pay Pal, I had to find an alternative for the smoothie door locks.

Here it goes, anything 90 on Ford has these locks and I wanted a set in black. Worked out perfect!! Cost was a little pricey...$12 for the pair but they had them in stock at the parts counter...

Just an FYI in case someone wants something a little different.

Now you can't see the locks through my tinted windows.

Vinchenzo, did you have to cut the lock rod dealio to get them to sit down inside?

it's Vincenzo...

Nope, just ripped the old ones off and slid the new ones on (with a dab of Gorilla glue in the tip)

They protrude a small amount but not enough to notice. You could trim about a 1/4" to make them almost flush if you'd like.

Just test fit them (they're not going to fall off, just can't pull the locks up) and see how you like them.

no door panel removal, just twist and pull to get them off

If you want to shave them down a bit, get a dremmel and nip off the top a bit

Thanks for the info. I have '98 Windstar and never even dream those would fit on the HHR. I'll head to the Ford dealer tomorrow!
