I had an email the other day asking why our prices were so "high" on the SpiderLites. We actually sell them at a lower price than other retailers do (our price is only $40.00 each as opposed to others $44.95/each bulb). But we have gone the extra mile to include the LED ballast resistors you need to make your lights flash at the proper rate.
The SpiderLite instructions tell you to "go find some LED load resistors" to install. Well, I thought that was kind of cheesy - especially since someone (you, the buyer!), has just waited a few days for their bulbs to arrive. Therefore I bought ballasts from another vendor and include them, this way you have everything you need right in the kit.
If you don't have the ballasts, your flasher will flash at a double rate, thinking one of your light bulbs is burned out. This will also alert the local police (who will ticket you once they see the fast flashing). By including the ballast resistors we not only save you the hassle of rounding them up - but also prevent possible tickets.
Our kit includes:
2 - SpiderLite 5-Arm Bulbs
2 - LED Load Equalising Ballasts
4 - Quick Splice connectors
This is everything you need to install SpideLites and have them work properly.
In total, it's about a 30-minute job; and the looks are stunning!
Hope this clears it up a bit.
