Solstice wheels ?

I ordered a set of new Solstice wheels for my HHR that currently has steel wheels.
I want to have everything needed to install them as soon as they get here.
Does anyone know what lugnuts the Solstice Aluminum wheels use? Tapered, shouldered or other? I know they are 12 x 1.5 mm.
I got the studs, the spacers will be here tommorow and all I need now is the lugnuts and wheel locks.
Thanks, Curly

I have a set of Solstice wheels waiting to be put on. They use the regular ACORN style lug nut. 12x1.5mm. I tryed a 225 45 18 on mine and it did not rub when I put it on the car. You may need to grind a small area on the strut where there is some stamped metal that sticks out, but I did not use any spacers when I did my test fit. What kind did you get? Chrome Silver Polished? I found a deal on a set of silver for $300.00 shipped so I could not pass them up. Once you get a pic. send it out. I think the factory 17" center caps will work also. Have not got that far.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks, for the information and post pictures when you get it finished. My wheels may not get here until next week now.
On my spacers I got the 7/32 (about .218 thick) which I hope will be more than enough.
Still looking for the lugnuts and wheel locks but atleast I know what kind it takes now. Thanks, Curly

I see that you are from the dfw area. You can get them from any Discount Tire Co. or even Autozone. Acorn style lugs.

Update

I got the wheels in and they look good but.......... Polished and stylish.
They are 245-45-18 which is larger than stock. The back works just fine but the front will not fit it hits on the bottom side of the strut. I have to remove 2 brand new tires and buy new 225-45-18 for the front.
It is going to look very good. I put the lowering springs on the back and it rides BETTER than stock ! Looking forward to the ride when I do the front springs. It definatly feels lower in the back and the ride is very smooth. I hate to spend another $350 on front tires after all I have already spent on it but it will look good and the tires are a little taller which will help my mileage by lowering RPM some. I guess it will throw off my DIC information some.
When I get finished with this it will be a nice highway car with great mileage.

Factory lugnuts for steel wheels do work but I will be changing them out for nicer looking locking ones very quickly.

Still need to find the Chevy center caps. Should have the new front tires on today and the front springs on Sat.
