SS upper grill?

I've been doing some searching around on here but I couldn't find any info on this.

Does anyone know if the upper SS grill fits in the opening on a standard HHR?

I just don't know if the top of the bumpers are molded differently or not

No, they will not fit. The SS grill is longer, wait shorter. Okay it is 1 inch or so off in some way. It will fit width but not height. Sorry, I know there are threads about this but a typical front conversion (bumper/ grill / hood) is 2-3k for everything and paint.

Will it fit the hood, yes, but like stated you will have to notch the bumper cover. The SS grill is taller than the standard grill (drops below the non SS bumper cover).

The SS grill will fit the opening of the standard HHR hood, but when swapping them out you also need the SS front bumper as it has a recessed spot to where the SS grill will close up against. The standard HHR bumper does not have the necessary cut out in it for the SS grill to fit proerly(hope you understand what I am trying to say).

So if you have the time and skills it can be made to fit pretty easily !

Plays hell trying to open the hood after it's done though...... You can't reach the secondary latch.

I guess you didn't notice that I said I already tried searching. No big deal though, I guess I just couldn't get the right wording close enough in my search to get the right results

Anyway, that's for all the input guys but I don't really want to do the whole "pen trick" everytime I open my hood. I just like stuff to be work as good as factory when I do it

So then if modding the SS Grill to fit is not the way you want to go you could mod the stock grill to look like an SS clone kind of like ours:
