Steering Wheel

Would a steering wheel from another late model GM car fit? If I wanted to use a Saturn's wheel with the same controls for cruise and radio, would that work? They seem to fit a little better than the one on the HHR. Thank you.

That is one of those questions that can only be answered by trying it out. I personally wouldn't try due to the air bag and the unknown of whether the communication with the BCM would be correct. I am trying to stay above ground as long as possible, and I need all the safety nets around me that I can get.

I think all of the Delta & Epsilon platform cars are actually using the same steering wheels, just different airbags & whether it's a base or leather-covered wheel.

Don't know about the air bag configuration but someone mentioned, a while back, the HHR steering wheel is the same as in the 08' Corvette.

also the Covette steering wheel lacks the bulges at 10 o'clock/2 o'clock

I like the Cobalt's wheel...but until my stock leather-wrapped wheel NEEDS replacement...I aint messing with it.

I posted more last night...but the server was too busy for 15 minutes. either this place was hoppin'...or it needs a bigger server.

Thank you all. I have an 08 Corvette as well as my HHR. The air bag on the HHR is not centered, and there is a big gap between the covers for the cruise and radio control features. I know it's a nit but the vette's wheel is much better finished. When I tried to order the covers from GMPartsDirect, it turned out that they were different from the HHR/Cobalt and other late model wheels. It was very strange. That's why I made the 'fit' comment. Thank you.
