Taillights: has anyone moved them?
I saw Jeff's car at Cedar Point this summer. He had the rear about half done and it looked awesome. He has a lot of talent from what I could see. Can't wait to see the end result next summer at the Point.
The shaved taillights look SWEET, your out of control! Hey, has anyone tried replacing the lower taillight/back-up lens with the taillight/brake lens? I have a red SS, and I'm thinking that might look cool and add some saftey too.
I was also thinking about hiding a blue LED inside the taillight and aiming it at the light bulb. This is to try to make it look like a "blue dot". I would switch the LEDs off if the police stopped me to admire my HHR.

If you really think about it, Jeffs396's creation is really getting back to the basic design that the HHR was supposed to be. Ever seen the back of a 49' Burb? There certainly isn't 4 tail lights like the HHR. Mirrors? Not integral like the HHR. Bumpers? Sometimes body color, but never integral like the HHR. This one really captures the true spirit of the 49'... Excellent when retro captures and captivates at the same time. Nice job!

If you do a "search" You should be able to find that & much more..
Search function is very handy..

Just read this thread from the beginning..
Man your ride is gonna be off the hook.. Way Cool... I've seen the mini cooper head lights in street rods, they look super & flow with the lines.
I dig the shaved back lights as well, & chrome steel bumpers, Yea !!! I'll be watching for up-dates when you can.....

looks like led lights in your bumper
are these led lights in your bumper? i was thinking of shaving these reflectors out when i paint my bumper. thanks to the lincoln that hit me and took off. any way if i could add these led's and integrate them with the brake and turn signals, that might be cool. if they are where did you get them. i was also thinking of leaving the standard bulb in the stock tail lights but adding led's to the back side of the housing in a ring in both upper and lower lights
regardless i like your ride the scetch looks awsome i hope you get to do this. it will look great im sure. from body man to body man i know it will be no easy task.

While I do like the drawings I would have to admit that in the state I live in it would never pass safety inspection. No safety inspection, no license plates. I think it is pretty messed up that you don't have to prove insurance but do have to prove safety inspection to get plates.
