Tinted my Tail lights & Eyebrows
he is saying how on black hhrs (other colors too, but more on the black) the huge silver area of the muffler really sticks out. Spray it down with matte black, hi temp BBQ paint, and it blends in with the rest of the car more.
I did it when I put my hitch on, looks fantastic

It's amazing the cheap little tricks you can do to monotone a car
Nothing fancy but with my HHR and other vehicles I owned I spray paint muffler(s) if exposed a flat black. This helps it blend in with undercarraige and not obvious like in E Freaks first pic. Gives the rear end a better look IMO. Just one of my pet peeves but I think mufflers should be heard and not seen. I cringe whenever I see one of those round tanks behind a Trailblazer. Those you can't hide, what were they thinking. Tell me I'm not the first to ever do this..
Did mine a month or two after purchase.

Someone started a thread about tinting their headlights with tinting... (something I plan on trying before going to a shop here in Fresno to tint my windows.) anyone know the thread I'm talking about?
As an update. the edges of the tail lights started coming up so it looks like i'm either going to cut a piece of the vinyl just smaller than the light, or go Nightshades as I did on my previous car
Mo
I've never seen nite-shades in anything but black.
I'm seeing some small stone chips on the headlights as time goes by, no peeling or flaking or fading.
The tails look like i did them yesterday.

yeah i was real happy with the result i got with the Nightshades on my Grand Prix. I just wanted to go less permanent this time but looks like that isn't going to work out unless i leave a bit of the outer edge exposed beyond the vinyl
