I finally got around to cutting and painting an OEM grille.

i love that, looks real good was it hard modifing the grille, what kind of paint did you use?

modifying wasnt all that hard. I used duplicolor touch up spray and a paint preparer to help adhesion.

since I painted it instead of leaving it chrome, I was able to smooth where I cut it more. You can still tell where it's cut, but from a few feet away it looks good

Did you put any screening behind the grille to protect the radiator?

It really looks great but black wouldn't work on my sandstone HHR. Still, it's another option to consider!
