Updated shaginwgn pics/painted items(56k warning)

The winter was harsh on my antenna, bezel and door cups. Ruined the finish on them. So this past weekend was wonderful weather and took them off sanded to get grit off and painted them with the krylon fusion and clear spray paint. It is a love it or hate it look. Here are the results:
lower grille

door cup

HHR with windturbines

I love the touches of red, it really sets off the black. But then , I always thought a red pinstripe was a MUST on a black car!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally would hate to love it, but I wouldn't love to hate it. If it makes you happy, then thats all that counts.

Grey, it goes with your underhood colors. Do you have more red planned for the outside?

I am thinking about red pinstripe or red two tone. It was a cheap mod $7 compared to getting new door cups, antenna bezel, and antenna($100).
I was matching my engine compartment colors Here is pic of engine compartment:

You got the script.

You got the red accents on the door.

Now, put a red flash pin stripe on your black beauty and you will have it REALLY lookin' good! Check out Car 11:

I like it the red is just enough not to be to much. Did you paint the engine compartment yourself also? If you did what paint did you use?

Valve cover

Do most folks powder coat their valve cover or do they spray it themselves?

Also, how much work is it to pull off the valve cover?

Is there a rubber gasket under the lip?
