Upper and lower grilles

After reading some of the posts regarding road stuff flying up and damaging the radiator, Ive seriously considered a lower grille. What I would like to ask/see is does any of you have the stock upper grille and an aftermarket lower unit?

Id like to see some pics if possible for a visualization. I like the stock chrome upper and Im on the fence as to change it.

'Tanks!

So you can find just the bottom part? I was looking into something for that area as well...ideally something chrome-like.

Hi Ang!

Cheri has a modified upper chrome unit flipped upside down on hers and it looks great. I want to find something similar with wide bars for my lower grille. Although the $5 hardware store variety is tempting, I want something tailor made. John ( Suburb Jr) of our Socal gang found a cool combo that is heavy mesh chrome for a couple hundred. Im just unsure of replacing the factory chrome one, I kinda like it. Keeps the 40's look to it still. Hopefully I will decide b4 the march G2G as I want a new look. Yes you can buy just lowers but all ive found are the billet lined look types.

The downside of all our g2g's is all the cool ideas we get!
Since I can't really see it, I think something simple for me for the bottom. I think I'll use Bush's rebate for either a visor or eyelids (my sister saw Cheri's and LOVED that about hers!) I'm leaning towards the visor..

And I agree, one of the things that attracted me to the HHR was and still is the front grill. I love the different ones I've seen, but am partial to that stock grill.

See you at the crack of dawn on the 16th!

Don you can get the lower grill like mine on ebay for $121 shipping included. Do a search for "HHR mesh grill" and you will find alot of choices and the lower grill on mine was very easy to install.
