Vinyl to cover bowties

Im wanting to make the bowties on my new HHR red.

I Would prefer not to paint them (in case I decide I dont like the the vinyl can be taken off)

Has anybody tried this? Is there a vinyl that would be better for it?

pre-cuts?

any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Been done alot.

Search maybe for bow tie overlays.

Also search ebay for them, or try a local sign shop.

be aware that most of the bow tie over lays do not cover the whole thing. you will see the edges due to the 3D nature of the badge. To me this is unacceptable. You might try a product cald platidip.

can get it in lots of colors. spray it on don't like it? peal it off.

I was thinking about just getting a sheet maybe and putting it on then cutting off around the edges of it.

maybe for the wheels and steering wheel getting pre-cut.

I thought plastidip only came in black.

The spray plastic comes in many colors, not just black.

It looks like vinyl will be the easier way to go with the emblems on the hood and rear hatch.

Where did you get yours SS fan?

I was thinking about getting something like this and just cut around the logo
This may be easier said than done.

That'd be the easiest route..sheet of vinyl..

As to the wheels & steerin wheel gold tone bow ties, I just polished the gold tone off them..

Looks cleaner, didn't care for the gold..

I would like to do red bow ties all around. Front, rear, wheels, and steering wheel.

Vinyl seems like it will be the easiest plus its removable.

Plastidip is the second option but Im not sure about how much masking it would take to do so. I would prefer to just leave everything on the car while doing it.

Thinking these for the wheels and steering wheel

I dig these a lot as well. Havent decided if I would like these or just solid red. Problem with these I would assume is that they wouldnt cover the whole bow tie
