Vinyl light covers

Okay guys ( and gals) i need to know hoe some people are making the taillight / headlight covers out vinyl that will still let the light pass through. I've seen a grey one on here and it looks awesome, in fact it was for sale when I found it. Any help would be great, I also would like to get some vinyl decals made if anybody has the ability, i can send you a copy of the design i want. if I've asked this already then tell me I'm a moron and answer again please.
I also have a small project for any of you photoshop pros out there, should be an easy one.
Thanks.

Above is the Grey one with matching tail-lights.

The one that was for sale, I believe was SoCAl's and I don't remember if tail-lights were modified, I don't believe so.

Couple people have used tint, too black-out tail-lights.

The above grey one, is a frequent flyer and probaly will speak up on the material used.

Later,
Mark

ya that grey one is the one i was talking about, and i believe i read that the brake lights still sown through the vinyl. Will the lamin_x allow light to pass through? If so where can I get it in blue. Thanks

Im not wanting to tint or smoke them I want to cover them like this one

He siad in one of his posts that at night you can still see the lights thru those covers. Anybody know how he did it? I don't think its lamin-x cause I wrote them and they send back pics of just the tinted covers in blue which are still allow you to see the lens.
