Good thing you included the weblink. I thought you were referring to Captain Howdy and me.

You are the man!!!! I went and got Maguires clay bar today, I did about 3/4 of the car, did as you told me, then waxed with NXT, WOW. So smooth, and lots of the fine scrathes are barely noticable. Sooo!! what, once a year with the clay? Thanks..and I thought it looked good before!! Todd (Uma)

OK now I'm currious. I'm another with no experience with a clay bar. In fact I only recently heard of such a thing. Where do you find them and how much do they cost? I assume they are resuable as long as they are kept clean?

You can buy them at places like Autozone etc. I'm thinking the kit is around $15-$25. You can reuse them but remember you are trapping impurities in your clay so I wouldn't reuse them too often Just try not to drop them in the dirt

Once a year should be good! But you could probably do twice/year if you wanted. Maybe a Spring/Fall Combo.

Thanks guys and gals, The clay is not something that I need to do all the time, but out here in so cal with all the smog, etc. a very good idea. It costs $15 to $25, no big deal. I told myself that this could not possibly make my car look better because I have waxed twice in the past three weeks, but you will be amazed. Thanks all, Todd (Uma)

I just used this past weekend the new Turtle wax "ICE". I love it, but it was more expensive than I had wished. Results are excellent and the ease of use was great.
