OMG, What a delightful treat to wake up to!

There has been a lot of thread traffic on this issue
and I for one want a body color one like Amethyst.

Where did ya get it????? Do ya think they have
Amethyst or even clear. That way we could make
it any back color wanted...

Could the blue be taken off so that the clear shows thru?
The OEM one is yellow plastic as you know.

Then we could have body colors.

Looks great, CJ -- you are the man. My HHR is silverstone, and I'd rather have the blue bowties than the yellow ones that are on there now...

 

how much more are you going to mod your HHr CJ? Fully Custom?

I think his next mod is to turn it into just a Chevy CJ...it will look nothing like an HHR but more like a Collie...like lassie...

got it on Ebay. search 69-70 truck hood bowtie or emblem
he has them in blue and red and yellow is standard

the bowtie has 6 tabs on back that can be made straight, take out the middle and you could paint it any color you want,,, even match ur car.

put it back in, bend the tabs and then put on ur grille. there is a clear plastic front so that will not change. the way it is made, you could do a lot of things with it.

here is the blue and the red auction. i did not ask about the size on the red one but the blue is very very close to original size.
