Wheel offset comp

I am looking at wheels...........some of them are 35mm offset and some are 45mm offset. How will this effect fitment on my non lowered HHR??

The standard offset is 42mm on the HHR's stock wheels.

An offset of LESS than 42mm will stick OUT more.

An offset of MORE than 42mm will tuck INSIDE the wheelwells more.

Do you think that a wheel with a 35mm offset and a 8 inch width will look good or will it not look right?

An 8-inch wide wheel with that offset could possibly hit inside the fenderwell.

I always recommend "test fitting" a tire/wheel combination before buying.

It can save you lots of grief later...

The HHR bolt pattern and the factory offset sux. It makes it difficult to shop for wheels. Another option is going with someone who sells blanks. Good luck.

These are 18x8.5 with a 34mm offset. They look really nice. Just do not lower it, is all...




I have more pics in the gallery with more views and angles of the wheel.

You know Erf - I bet you could get away with no rubbing with the Eibach's.

Chuck was at the Solvang Run with 18's on his ride:





With NO Rubbing!

Chuck says the ride is nice too.
