Wheelskin

Finally got around to tackling the challange of putting it on. It really is a bit of a pain, especially tightening it. I found that after the whole thing is laced, going back a couple of times with a hook tool works well. Here are the pix of the completed job, and the tool I used.

From the outside, color match is pretty good.

From the inside, the color is way off but you can see the cover better

From the internet. You can choose from any solid or color combination, with perforated leather or smooth. Cost about 60 bucks. Much nicer than my last cover-an imitation leather that looked nice with the name Chevy and bowties in red to match my car. But, it did not wrap around the wheel-no lacing, so the it was open. I thought about wrapping it, but the material was rather cheap. It got freezing cold in the winter and very hot in the sunlight. The real leather will be much better.

Yeah, I got it after watching Marathon Man. I am a lot of fun at parties with it

Actually, it came as a set-5 different shaped picks that screw into a magnetic handle.

For ordering the skin, it doesnt matter. Just tell them the car and they have the specs.

Wheelskins are great!!

For anyone interested in doing a professional looking "baseball" stitch, (I've done it on my Mercedes... hard, but looks factory) here's a link:

BTW, this site is great and their Wheelskin prices are good, too.
