Would it work if the upper grill is closed off

Hi guys, newbie here. First time poster.

I saw this mod online and really like it, IMHO, a huge improvement over the factory gill looks wise. May not be as practical but sure easy on my eyes.

By adopting the pic's mod to the hood and without doing the mod to bumper and lower grill like the pic. ie I am thinking of extending the hood to go with standard factory bumper. The radiator would have to live with breathing through just the lower grill. Is that enough?

Otherwise, how hard is to mod the bumper like the pic?

Thanks for helping.

that is a kit they sell but if you can shape metal you can make anything you want. the price for that kit is insane.

Teazer Designs makes that kit. Not a good company to work with; I speak from experience!

I don't think the Teazer Design may not be in business anymore, I sure can't find them on Google. SO that is a dead end.

I am not sure if I want a fibre glass bumper for everyday use. I am wondering if I can duplicate the design of the hood with sheet metal. Keep the factory bumper cover by cutting the center portion ... then custom some grill similiar to the Teazer's design.

Has anyone tried that approach?

its all do-able. the hood wouldnt be too hard. i would probably us another donor hood to get the sam shape unless you have some sheetmetal skills. also i noticed how thin the sheetmetal was while shaving the rear wiper. it would be easy to warp. the bumper can be done using fusor. i picked some up to shave the humps and reflectors on my bumpers. you could just reshape the bumper using fusor like you would welding sheetmetal. im gonna try to french the front lic. plate into the bumper so we will see how well the fusor works.

Lousy photoshop at work here:

1. Original

2. New hood, extended all the way down to bumper. Breathing issue?

3. New hood plus cutting the center of bumper. Adding a corvette lookalike grill.

4. Same as (3) but with three horizonal chrome bars.

All inputs are welcome, of course.
