Yellow Fogs
Yellow Fogs
First off, idc that some wont like it.
Now, would it be smarter to have the lens in yellow or have the yellow bulb. In either case has anyone done this and what did they go with? Im thinking a yellow bulb would give more light?

regular "white" bulbs will do just as good as the yellow (3000-4500) range is best for fogs..any reason why u want yellow?
all the "ricers" and civics have yellow...i don tlike it, just my opinion..but if your into that then go ahead and yes the bulb is better to be yellow

Yes, they do!
Just because some people install yellow fog lights on their already "ricer" vehicles, shouldn't qualify the color as ricer...that term gets thrown around way too much unwarranted.
Yellow is very effective in poor visibility conditions. Think of yellow lenses in ski/snowboard goggles...they are great in flat light, they enhance contrast and increase definition, which helps to shown contours and variations that may otherwise not be visible in regular light. I have experienced this same effect firsthand with the yellow fogs...especially lighting up the curbs and variations in the road surface.
They are also very popular in Japan, as a large variety of JDM vehicles come with yellow fogs. The JDM front conversion on my 240 came with triple beam projectors, and the fogs are yellow glass. I love the look of the yellow fogs, and mine light up the road extremely well. I'll be going with yellow HID in the HHR once I find...or figure out how to do the fogs I want.
