2010 HHR & Sirius
I will pull my car apart first and see if there is an indication of the wiring being there for it. If not, I will consider putting in an aftermarket Dual din(having the noise of the turn signals is nice, but not 100% needed).
Ok. I wound up having to back burner this for a while due to a bunch of other things going on in my family. But, I did contact the manufacturer(ISimple) and they had sent me some wiring diagrams-because they said their system should work with the car radio. I tried to pull the radio apart, but because of the extreme cold we now have here in the Chicago area, it was way too cold to try to get it all apart. I did get it apart far enough to see that Best Buy did in fact incorrectly wire the thing up. I took it back to Best Buy with the email that the manufacturer had sent and they pulled it apart and re-wired the connection. My car now acts like it has an XM radio(even though I have Sirius tuner in it)! If anyone is interested in putting Sirius in their car, you can buy the parts on Amazon, eBay, or there is a dealer that does carry the parts in a kit form(ISimple interface, Sirius unit and the connecting cable)-www.tssradio.com.
Mine is missing the module and the antenna(since it was a rental). But, with adding the ISimple Gateway, it now reads that XM is there.
And I am a Sirius subscriber, listener and Stockholder-so I am very familiar with them being one and the same. :)
