Adding XM receiver

I just bought my HHR this past weekend and I want to add an XM receiver to the stock 6 disc radio. The radio has the 'CAT' button so I'm think the radio must have a connection for an XM recever; correct? If so, are the wires already ran to the rear of the HHR? If so, would the antenna also already be in place too?

I would think the wiring is in place. You can look.

The antenna is probably not unless you have the turtle on the top back.
Of course, you can run your own antenna. The stock XM takes the usual Fakra connector (but doesn't have to be Fakra, can just be female SMB)

I have the single disc radio. I can select xm but there is no service. I have the 1LT. Is there a way to activate it?

I noticed that on mine just yesterday. Seems like it should be fairly easy and inexpensive to add on? I bet http://www.crutchfield.com would know?

If you didn't get XM as an option you are going to need the XM receiver and antenna.

I "think" one of these will work. Either THIS ONE "OR" THIS ONE is what you will need.

This will hook the XM directly to your factory GM radio, and allow you to control and see the stations on your factory radio.

the rds one is just an fm modulator that uses the radio display but you need to use the remote that it comes with it doesn't use the built into the radio controls and the first one says not compatible with hhr radio
