I used an "add-a-circuit" connector on the sunroof fuse. Just plug it in and it has a power wire coming off it, no hassle with splicing or soldering to the existing wiring.
This functions with the retained power accessory circuit for a while after the car is shut off.

Neither do I. Thats the point, you still have power to the fuse placement for a sunroof, so thats the perfect one to use. If you cant get an add-a-circuit, you can just solder a wire to a fuse and stick it in there.

No problem, glad I could help ya.
Now, I have a question for you. Which harness did you use, and do you have onstar?
Im considering an aftermarket deck, Id like to keep the onstar and chimes so I got the metra lan-04 with the RCA plugs, but there is conflicting info as to whether this is usable with the onstar or the pioneer system.

ok the one I got was a metra but it deleted the chimes and the blinker click, no I dont have onstar, I it seems to work fine once I figured it all out the dimmer does not work tho not sure why its hooked up to the correct wire the whole system dims just not the radio, the one you have comes with a little box right, from the research ive done on here it seems to work fine, the best thing to do is go slow and try it, oh have you checked cruchfeild I heard they really work well and you put your cars info in and it sets you all up with what you need....hope this helps!!!!
