I have a Garmin C330. I love it. Took it on vacation and not once worried about getting lost. She always brought me back to where I wanted to be. I just use the windshield mount because I don't use it around home at all, only on trips.

did you have someone else install it? because self installed the pioneer and the headrests with a seperate dvd player would run you about $1400

I don't travel enough to need a GPS program, so I just bought the Mocrosoft Streets & Roads program with the GPS locater for my laptop. Also bought a power inverter that has 2 plugs and total cost for everything was less than $150.

2 wks ago my Street pilot battery got low when I really needed it, so I plugged it - ugh, made a sudden turn and the cord tangled in steering wheel controls - ripped the thing OFF the holder and to the floor and tore the cable off with the connector still in the Garmin. A quick trip to Ebay and a little luck getting the connector out intact saved me...but wow, in-dash would be heaven!!

do you have any idea if you can still use the onstar with this setup? That is a must for me.

I don't have Onstar on my HHR, but on my truck they added a interface that allows me to use my onstar I think you can do the same in the HHR and you wont lose your factory chimes. You can get them for PAC, Soundgate, and others.

    Hope this helps

    God Bless!
