Aloha 08 Radio troubleshooting

It may be the same model radio but the anti theft feature requires that a Tech II scan tool be used to program it to your VIN number.
My local dealership programmed the replacement radio in Oldblue when the OEM radio went completely blank.

Oldblue, what you're telling me is when I get the replacement radio installed it needs to be programmed to my vin correct?

Yes, but you might still not hear anything as the speakers are toast!

Ok 👌 good to know. I just wish I knew someone near me who could troubleshoot first before wasting time and money. Or I could just go somewhere and have an aftermarket system professionally installed. <<< lol

No I live up on the north shore, plenty of families here, just not my family. I know it sounds pathetic but I appreciate you guys telling me all this

Yes ur right, I don't have tools, not an excuse had em but the x stole whatever I had.
