amplifer connections need help

amplifer connections need help

hooked up my amp today noticed that my power led stays on when i turn my radio off does anybody else have this problem please help thanx

How/where did you connect your wires to? If you can, take a pic of your setup so we can see what's going on...

Connected The Power Wire To The Battery And The Ground To The Hooks For The Cargo Net

Where did you hook up your remote wire?
Is your amp on all the time?

Why didn't you ground it to the grounding bolt in the back?

There is a bolt by the battery that you can ground things to. I'll take a pic in a minute.

the only way it would stay on is if the remote wire in hooked up to 12v constant instead of acc..

i have the remote wire hooked up correctly but i noticed when i did my radio install i connected the acc wire and 12v wire together i have a pioneer head unit anybody out there have that problem my radio stays on all the time unles i turn it off i can use it without a key in the ignition help me out im going crazy mike from socal gave me a diagram but for some reason it didnt show which wire i hook up the 12v too

you have your acc wire hooked up to a constant source and that is why your headunit stays on. Look at post #31 for constant and switched source if you hook it up the right way acc and constant this might fix your problem. Or if you want to leave it the same get a switch and hook it up to your remote wire, that way you can turn it on/off. 2 fixes that might help.
