Moisture in the door cavity results in wet speakers.

Either the speakers or the wires, what help can we be from here?

Get a DVOM and start testing wires, if you don't believe us.

The most common issue with the speakers in the HHR is that they rust at the connectors, to the point that even new connectors don't work. When mine started to drop off it was sometimes intermittent. Eventually I had nothing out of one of them. The only solution is to replace them. As Whopper asked, why do you think it's not your speakers?

We may never hear back from the OP for a while - the last time he brought this problem up was a year ago. And he never responded to the suggestions/questions back then.

Going back and re-reading the thread, I believe what he is saying is that all the speakers EXCEPT the right front door and tweeter die all at the same time - not individually.
Once that started he replaced the head unit with a JVC unit, yet the problem continues.

Donbrews post #7 lays out some testing he needs to do - and possibly will need to monitor those outputs and catch a failure on the readouts.

Door radio speaker problems.

My 2011 HHR door speakers work intermittent.
Most of the time only the twetters work, sometime only both right side door speakers work sometime only the left side speakers work along with the chimes and turn signal audio and rarely all four door speakers work.
I can not determine any related cause that would make them work or not.

Most likely, you need new speakers.

Foam edge on the cones probably all gone. Will make them work occasionally. Use the old speakers to make the adapters for the new 6.5" ones.

2011 HHR door speakers

I ordered 4 new door speakers from GMPartsWarehouse.com.
Cost about $100 and all fit and plugged in with out retrofit.
All radio speakers work along with the chimes and turn signal audio.

Usuall when anything ie speakers do not work and need replacing they will not be intermitten, on and off and on. The only way I can think of for that to happen is loose wiring connecting and disconnecting somewhere. Only way replacing the speakers would fix it is if the loose wires were in that area and were tightened when replaced lol
