audio control on steering wheel

is it possible to add this feature on the steering wheel after you have bought it without it....& how much do u think it would cost..

It is possible, check the audio visual threads. You can find part numbers, cost and a how-to.

thanks very much

yes i just got our hhr on the 10th of feb of this year.. 06 model brand new,chevy was offering 2250 cash incentives ,so we bought it, im very happy i did cause it's great so far..that was one thing i was wanting was the volume controls on the wheel, i read the posts on the forum links & i ordered the parts, thanks very much for your help..dlm

somewhat unrelated question.... but related to the Thread Subject; none the less... so instead of starting a completely separate thread with the same name...

Will the Steering Wheel Volume Controls; work with any stereo unit, or only the factory units? Would there be any sort of special wiring needed for them to work on other units?

I just ordered the parts from gmpartsdirect.com, to install into my own Steering wheel... but in the future I might add a nicer stereo.
