Audio System Upgrade

Looking to upgrade the stock 7 speaker pioneer system to something a little more well defined. I wanted to keep the stock head unit and sub enclosure. I was thinking about using the low level outputs from the head unit and coming into a new 5 channel amp driving a replacement 8" sub in the stock enclosure with replacement components upfront and retrofit compenents into
the rear doors. This is the pieces I started looking at, let me know what you guys think?

Try www.sonicelectronix.com they seem to have better prices.

Be very careful of Online Car Stereo.com Do a Google search before ordering from them see what others are saying. Then, if you still decide to buy, make sure you contact them and ask if they have that specific item in stock.

I was really close to ordering a Kicker amp from them, the web page said the amp was in stock. I decided to email them just to check. It took me about 15 minutes to find a customer service email (that should have been my first hint) and when they replied a couple of days later, I was advised they did not have it in stock. The web page STILL has it listed as "in stock".

Buyer Beware...

I would check E-Bay, at least you can get some seller feedback there.

We may be doing some upgrades as well. I have the JL speakers in my Odyssey and they sound pretty good. I'm upgrading them to some Boston Acoustics in the Ody and bringing the JL stuff , including a 300 watt Sub amp into the HHR.
Your stuff looks like a good addition to the stock setup, but like Groovielou says, be real careful who you buy from.

Does anyone know how to take apart the panel around the sub. It has the 7 speaker system but, my 15s are collecting dust.
